The need

Case intake required several document tools.

Case intake involved separate PDF tools, repeated typing from scans, and county-specific layouts. Staff needed document preparation, text extraction, and reusable templates in one place.

What I built

Prepare documents and check extracted text.

Dyson supports case intake and the preparation of incoming documents. Staff can split, merge, rotate, and pull pages from PDFs as part of that work.

For a scan, someone can draw a box around the passage they need and turn it into text they can copy and check. Optional AI cleanup helps with broken lines and misread characters. The person working on the file can review the result against the original.

Implementation

How I approached the work.

Reusable county templates

County-specific templates remember useful areas of recurring forms. Address lookup and county links sit alongside that work, so staff have fewer details to look up separately.

Document-reading services

Local and connected document-reading services are available within the same intake workflow.
