The need

Running the firm’s internal applications.

DHN needed infrastructure for its internal applications, local files, and access for staff working in the office or remotely.

What I built

Host applications and support staff access.

I designed and installed an office server to support DHN’s growing set of internal applications. It gives the firm a place to run its software and keep local files, with access for staff working in the office or remotely.

The work includes the less visible parts of running an application: keeping services available, checking security reports, and scheduling copies of files. I built tools that make those jobs easier to follow alongside the firm’s daily work.

Services running on the firm’s hardware

  • Local processingSupported document tasks
  • Connected servicesWhen a feature uses them
  • File copiesScheduled transfers

Which services receive documents depends on the application and feature selected.

Implementation

How I approached the work.

Document-processing services

Some document tasks can run on the office hardware. Others connect to services for reading scans or preparing AI-assisted answers and drafts. What gets sent depends on the application and the feature being used.

Continued maintenance

I maintain that setup as the firm’s software grows. The office server is part of the ongoing responsibility that comes with building applications people use for their work.

Built with Technical details
